RNA splicing & spliceosome

Nah... here is another animation!

I know that after the lesson, a lot of you seems to be confuse... brain being 'spliced' in pieces and all of you seems don't understand why the whole process must be so complicated.

I do hope the biological processes is easier too but NO, it has to be complex and I have to go thru all the work to look for more animation to help you all...:) so, you all better take a look at the animation

RNA splicing & spliceosome animation

hahahaha... so bad right? forcing all of you to watch it.

anyway, I do hope this will help you all in learning.

Transcription and translation

I found an animation that shows the differences in the transcription for the eukaryotes and prokaryotes.

This trancription animation is very simple and I do hope that you can understand it after watching the animation clip.

Beans and Chips

DNA was known to be a chemical in the cell by the 19th century and the race is on to find the molecular structure since then. In 1953, Watson & Crick shock the world by publishing the landmark paper in Nature, declaring that they have found the molecular arrangement.

The 3D arragement give the DNA its unique properties.

Watson & Crick was awarded the coverted Nobel Price for their discovery. However, their discovery overshadowed another well known researcher at that time, in the field of X ray crystallography; Rosalind Franklin.

Without her x-ray pictures, Watson & Crick might not be able to find the correct 3D shape of the DNA molecules.

It has been 58 years since the discovery and DNA is still the basic and most importants finding till this days!
